Cadbury takes ‘Billboards to Bags’ for our Commonwealth athletes

Mango New Zealand, Auckland, Tuesday 20 Jul 2010

As the Official Fundraiser for the New Zealand 2010 Commonwealth Games team, Mango created a tangible and meaningful way for Cadbury to activate the relationship, with the Cadbury Billboards to Bags campaign.

Kiwis across the country created their personalised message of support for the Commonwealth Games team by writing on giant mobile billboards that are touring the country. Once the messages are up the the billboards go on display in each region for a month before being recycled into one-of-a-kind satchels which will be given to every member of the New Zealand team in Delhi in October. In this way, our athletes can carry New Zealand’s words of encouragement with them during the Games.

If Kiwis are not able to get to one of the tour locations, a ‘virtual billboard’ will be hosted at www.cadburygames.co.nz from 2 August, to ensure every New Zealander has an opportunity to personally sign their message for the team. ... » Read More

AMI blows the whistle on referee abuse

Mango New Zealand, Auckland, Sunday 27 Jun 2010

Rugby is undisputed as New Zealand’s favorite sport with around 3,500 games played nationwide on a typical winter Saturday. Unfortunately the ‘whistle blowers’ often get more than their fair share of flack from the sidelines, particularly at junior games when the referees are generally untrained, unprepared volunteers who have picked up the whistle to ensure the game can go ahead.

Mango was enlisted by AMI Insurance, a long term supporter of NZ rugby referee Associations, to get the word out there that it’s not ok for spectators to abuse the ref.

A hard hitting campaign was launched using on field signage with the bold tag line ‘Scream for your team…not at the ref’.

The resulting publicity  included prime TV coverage, key daily newspaper stories, specialist sports publications feature stories and radio thus exceeding  the clients goals and securing another victory for the Mango team!

Mango mucks in with STIHL at Fieldays 2010

Mango New Zealand, Auckland, Tuesday 22 Jun 2010

The New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays is the largest agribusiness exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere and a huge drawcard for Kiwi farmers and urban “weekend warriors”.

With 1,000 exhibitors and every player in the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry attending this event, Mango helped to make the STIHL marquee stand out from the crowd and be the most memorable brand experience at Fieldays.

Mango decided to really set the scene,  with a theatre-style farm set created by a scenic painter to look like a detailed landscape and featuring STIHL chainsaws. ‘Jimi the spruiker’ on the mic encouraged people to come in and talked up the fantastic STIHL experiences inside.

Visitors could stand in the scene and have their picture taken with their chosen saw, which was then projected onto a big screen and printed out as a memento to take home. All photos had the STIHL message ‘You’ll Only Need One’ printed on them, so visitors were later reminded of the loyalty and longevity associated with the STIHL brand.

World Timbersports Champion Jason Wynyard was also available for photos with the public, acting as a further incentive to check out the fantastic STIHL exhibition. ... » Read More
