Issue: In its second year in New Zealand, the search had begun for the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year (SWOTY). The award is a nationwide competition in celebration of Kiwis who wear their glasses with pride and confidence, providing the perfect backdrop to launch Gok Wans new eyewear range exclusive to Specsavers.
Idea: The SWOTY awards for 2011 was faced with hundreds of standout entries from around the country. Mango enrolled a celebrity judging panel consisting of New Zealands Next Top Model judge Colin Mathura-Jeffree & World Fashion Designer, Denise L.Estrange-Corbett to select seven finalists to compete for the award.
Impact: A spectacular event in a knock out venue. The winner, Josh Steel taking away the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year Award 2011 and eyewear from Gok Wans latest Specsavers range.
